Why OSMM exists

Mathematics that cannot touch the world stays unfinished.

A proved theorem can sit forever as text. A physical claim can sit forever as metaphor. OSMM exists to close that gap with machinery: forced mathematical structure, a grammar that makes math→physics→meaning translations checkable, theorems typed as callable jobs, and installable correspondence worlds where those jobs can run.

In its final form, OSMM is the operating system that makes mathematics programmatic in physical reality: pure mathematical necessity forced into checkable instruments that compound across domains until open residuals shrink under evidence.

The spine is fixed. δ supplies the actual mathematics. δ forced is the boundary where that mathematics becomes physically applicable only through named correspondence. Under that boundary sit three instruments: Physicality Grammar (deposit-only translations with nouns, verbs, receipts, and squares), Theorem Tools (REWRITE, TRANSPORT, ENGINE, EXCLUSION, RESIDUAL), and Cutset (the residual viewer that banks kills and prints what still remains). Recognition Science Lean is the first rich installed correspondence world, with seeds such as primes-are-particles (an equivalence, not a proof of RH).

What makes this an operating system rather than a library is authority and composition. Worlds pin source truth. Tools are typed syscalls with exact premises. Grammar admits a crossing only when a deposited square clears. The Ledger alone appends status. Lean and lake alone write THEOREM. Empirical receipts are a separate certificate class. Runtime may propose; it may never admit.

Recognition Science reading · conjectureIf reality itself runs on an append-only, cost-accounted ledger of recognition events, then an OS that deposits checkable math↔physics translations and refuses to mint theorem status outside frozen judges is running discovery on the same architecture. That reading is conjecture. The Lean correspondence seeds are theorem-grade only where lake says so. Universal physical correspondence remains OPEN.

The full autonomous closure cycle and universal physical correspondence do not exist yet. OSMM is the working kernel, protocols, and instrument program aimed at that endpoint. Panel order-audit on the final identity was unstable; public copy uses only the stable intersection of the blank-sheet review.
